Standard Supplies, Inc. was established in 1947 by a Baltimore engineer, George Lamar Kelly. When Mr. Kelly opened his first store with five employees, his wife Verna Kelly was his bookkeeper. Mrs. Kelly continued to run the business after her husband's death. The business is owned and operated today by Mrs. Kelly's granddaughter, Deborah Murphy.
In 1962, Standard Supplies added to its capabilities and reputation of being a quality fabricator of structural steel for both residential and commercial applications. In addition to fabricating steel, we can provide steel erection. Our Steel Division processes more than 4,000 tons of steel per year. We are an established market supplier of steel products to mid-size commercial construction projects such as schools, shopping centers, churches, libraries, etc.
